Early in 2016 I got hired to provide concept art for this lovely project that became Enchant, the Worlds Largest Christmas Light Maze situated on the city of Vancouver, Canada.
I started as the first member of the conceptual design team, working later on with 3d artists and engineers from all over the world via Skype chat and video conferences. After 4 months of hard work we had the sculptures ready for production, the designs where sent to China where numerous factories where put to work. On November the first containers arrived into the site.

The design team composed freelancers from many countries. I worked as the Art Director at this stage, my job was to come up with the conceptual art for the sculptures and then correct the 3D models to make them look great. Some of the conceptual art was too complicated to get to production this first time, but it gave us many ideas that we can hopefully implement next year!

Apart from the concept designs for trees, deers, sleigh, and other sculptures I was asked to create the illustrations for a children´s book, a wonderfull story where a snowstorm hits christmas village on the north pole and Santa´s deers get lost. The deers go hide on the light maze and kids all over the world are called to help find them to save Christmas. Thats why there are 9 huge deer sculptures around the maze, kids have to find all of them and get their stamp on a card handed to them at the entrance.
To make this event even more attractive I offered to create 7 original ambient music tracks that worked together  create a truly magical atmosphere for people to enjoy while walking the maze. Thanks to talented composer and friend Ariel Schlichter the prodction of this audio set ended up being absolutely fantastic. You can listen to the tracks at:  https://www.arielsch.com

I was lucky enough to be invited to Vancouver and see how, in just 10 days, this massive production was brought into life. Im truly grateful of having been a part of this.
